For my virtual symposium, I create a Five in 5 ish Minutes which explores the intersection of design thinking and participatory librarianship, in relation to the Hyperlinked Library. I draw on personal experience and course readings to emphasize trust, transparency, and the power of user-centered design. Hope you enjoy!

  1. This was so good! I feel you really captured the essence of what the hyperlinked library really is. You emphasized all the important points and helped recall a lot of what we learned earlier in the semester.

  2. Ali, Your symposium is really well done! Your examples and thoughts are sophisticated and well-presented. I loved the image of the Beijing library. I also enjoyed the quotes you used to emphasize your point.

I took a 2-unit class with Stephen Bell that was all about Design Thinking for Libraries. I loved it, and I was glad to see your integration of the tenants of DT in this presentation.

    Best wishes!
