Wow, Miguel! you managed to sum up the whole semester in five minutes. I really appreciated your introduction to what the Hyperlinked Library is. And thanks for boosting my hope that we will get through this censorship madness. That issue is literally one of the things (just one) that will keep me awake all night if my mind wanders to it for whatever reason. Well done!

      Hi Sue,

I tried to keep it under five minutes, but there was so much to discuss and talk about, so I unfortunately went a little over time. Combating censorship is a continued issue that needs further discussion, especially in the exponentially growing number of challenged books each year.

Thanks and best wishes for your Holidays,

      Miguel

@migueleruiz29 You have great presentation skills. I’m not sure how you wrote the presentation but it was articulate, thorough and well thought out. I was thinking you’d make a good podcaster as you were delivering your talk and then you made a comment at the end that sounded like you didn’t think your narration was all that good. It was excellent and a perfect mix of well thought out words in a great conversational style. Awesome job!

Thanks, Matthew. It’s a summation of a bunch of things about presentations from previous classes and a bit of my improv skills from playing in DnD for almost a decade. It is funny you should mention the fact that I could podcast, because one of my site supervisors told me that when we spoke online.

      Take care and Happy Holidays,

      Miguel

Your video makes me jealous! i really wish I was creative enough to have create a video.

Also, although it’s number 3, your third takeaway is very important. We indeed have a long fight ahead. Thanks for mentioning this!

    • Miguel Ruiz

@rharris It is indeed a long fight ahead of us to combat censorship, especially under a federal administration that encourages censorship of several subjects. I do have hope, however, that in the many years ahead it may cool down, but it will be a long fight.

Thanks and best wishes for your Holiday Season,

      Miguel
