I’m watching in horror as my hometown burns and there are not enough resources to help. Friends have lost their homes, childhood memories are stolen away. It’s a complete freak tragedy right now in Sonoma and I encourage everyone to prepare for disasters because you just never know. And it’s something public libraries might already offer now that I’m thinking about it…
It sounds horrible. So much loss and sadness right now. I’m sorry that this is happening.
In the Gwinnett Library Collaborate session, Michael Casey spoke about people going to use the library during a Disaster because it had lights and wifi. I have a note to myself to write to him and tell him it’s a great idea to have a central location like his that can be used for this.
I’m in San Francisco, and go to the ABC News website for updates on the fires. Today when I went outside there was ash raining on me. I’m sorry for what you’re going through.
PG&E may be responsible for the fires, the news people are reporting on their site.
Please stay safe.
